3 Great Things Done By Nazis


1. Anti-Smoking Movement

There are a rumor said that Adolf Hitler is against on smoking in his later life that he could not stand someone smoking in the same room, and often felt obligated to something that only can waste money. Therefore, he began one of the most expensive and effective anti- tobacco movements during 1930s and 1940s.  It was taken seriously in Nazi Germany during that time.  Smoking in the restaurant and public transportation system, citing public health and other public places were banned. The Nazis also increase tobacco tax and the supplies of cigarettes to the Wermacht were rationed. Several health organizations also claim that smoking may harm pregnant women during that time and now are commonly known facts.

2.Invention of Rocketry

Wernher Von Braun, the father of rocketry was a member of the Nazi party. He aided both Germany and U.S in the use of rockets during and after World War II, and eventually became a naturalized U.S citizen. He was best known for his achievement in NASA. Undoubtedly, his best achievement is when he develop Saturn V booster rocket that finally help mankind to reach the moon. In July 1969, He officially opened the gate to space travel through his innovative invention.

 3. Animal Protection Law


When the Nazis seize the power in 1933, their main concerns was not only for the people but also the native animal of Germany. In 1934, a national hunting law was passed to control how many animals could be killed per year. This particular hunting law has now been applied in most of the western countries. In 1935, another law was passed which is Reich Nature Protection Art. This law protected several native animals such as wolf and Eurasian lynx. Without this law, some species may have completely extinct from Germany’s forests.
